We are a rapidly growing company. Currently, the Upstream team has six fulltime employees. While this role is focused on paid search, you’ll also gain adjacent exposure & the opportunity to collaborate with the social advertising and design teams. 

The Role

As our Paid Search Specialist, you'll build and manage high-performing Google Ads and Bing campaigns that consistently deliver qualified leads for our clients. You'll work directly with our account management team to translate business goals into strategic search advertising campaigns with measurable ROI.

This role will work in partnership with the Senior Paid Search Specialist to develop and implement campaign strategies. We are a collaborative team. If you've previously been in a role where you're simply asked to complete tasks without contributing to strategy, this will be a refreshing change of pace. We welcome your strategic input. 


What You'll Love Doing

  • Building Account Structures - Creating campaign architectures with logical ad groups, keywords, and targeted ad copy that maximize quality scores and minimize CPC

  • Keyword Research & Management - Identifying high-intent keywords, implementing negative keywords, and optimizing match types to drive qualified traffic

  • Bid Strategy Optimization - Implementing and fine-tuning automated bidding strategies across campaigns to maximize conversion volume while maintaining target CPA

  • Conversion Tracking Implementation - Setting up comprehensive tracking across search campaigns to accurately measure performance across all client goals

  • Weekly Performance Analysis - Conducting deep-dive analyses to identify opportunities for bid adjustments, budget allocation, and ad copy enhancements

  • Storytelling & Educating - All marketing is storytelling & paid search is  no different. Our success is built on the foundation of the trust we build with clients through education & honesty about the performance & future goals of their Google Ads accounts. 

We Expect You to Have…

  • You have 2-3+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously

  • You're deeply familiar with all Google Ads campaign types (Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube) with particular expertise in search

  • You excel at creating detailed search campaign structures with strategic keyword organization

  • You have a proven track record of improving ROAS and reducing CPA across diverse client accounts

  • You're skilled at crafting compelling ad copy that drives high CTR

  • You stay current with Google's constant platform updates and can quickly adapt strategies

  • You're proactive in identifying and resolving potential performance issues before they impact results

Not Required, But You’d Be A Standout Candidate If…

  • You have proficient technical skills with conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics

  • You have experience optimizing Bing Ads campaigns to complement Google search strategies

  • You can analyze large datasets to identify actionable insights that improve campaign performance

  • You’re comfortable presenting data to clients and developing strategy to meet their goals

Location & Work Environment

  • Hybrid role based in Franklin, TN 

  • One day per week in-office collaboration at our Franklin, TN location, located off Mallory Lane 

Compensation & Benefits
